Being involved in a claim of any kind can be upsetting. None of us wants to have a claim, but when we do, we want our claim to be handled in a fair, efficient, and friendly manner. Ohio Casualty's claims site provides useful information about the entire claims process. Even if you are insured with another company, this is a good site to visit if you want tips on what to do in the event of a claim, how the claims process should be handled, and other helpful information. Their site is www.ocas.com. Some of the information is specific to Ohio Casualty, but there are many tips that are helpful no matter what company with which you are insured.

The easiest and most direct way to report your claim is to call the insurance company directly. The insurance company will want to talk to you personally, to hear about the claim directly from you. There are times when you will want to call our office before reporting the claim and we welcome your inquiry. Even if you have reported the claim directly to the company, we recommend that you also call our office so we can advise you in the process. You may have some questions about the claims process, concerns about whether the claim should be reported, or how it might affect your insurance premium.
